Zero-B1: Architect of Musical Fusion
Zero-B1 is a British-Nigerian artist redefining the boundaries of sound with a genre-fluid fusion of Afrobeat, jazz, hip-hop, and soul. A storyteller as much as a musician, his music blends live instrumentation, spoken word, and cinematic soundscapes, creating an immersive listening experience that lingers long after the song ends.
Rooted in the infuence of Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat, the soulful storytelling of Curtis Mayfield, and the improvisational spirit of jazz greats like Miles Davis and Grover Washington Jr., Zero-B1 crafts a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. His inspirations extend from ShowDemCamp and Obongjayar’s Afro-fusion to the lo-fi textures of Joey Pecoraro and the alternative stylings of The Cavemen—resulting in a rich, layered sonic experience.
As a self-produced artist, Zero-B1 has meticulously sculpted his own sonic universe, first introduced in his debut ep ‘The Hi-Lofi Chronicles Vol.1’ ( March 2022) followed by the album ‘The Zero Experience’ (June 2022). His signature guitar-driven melodies shine through in tracks like ‘Everything Bliss’, which has amassed over 100,000 streams—a testament to his growing global audience.
Zero-B1’s artistry extends beyond the studio—his live performances are exhilarating, where Afrobeat grooves, jazz improvisation, and spoken word meet in an electrifying fusion.
As 2025 unfolds, he is gearing up for headline shows, tours, and a groundbreaking Jazzhop Fusion project, further solidifying his position as a boundary-pushing artist.
Whether through deep lyrical narratives, hypnotic grooves, or soul-stirring solos, Zero-B1 invites listeners on a journey where rhythm is a language and every track is a story waiting to be told.
““Spiritually speaking, every human being has a destiny and a duty to perform”.
— Fela Kuti
